Changelog

  1. Merged blog content and refined docs links

This week focused on product structure and internal upkeep. The blog was merged into the main app, the docs content and layout were updated, and the footer now includes docs and blog links. The landing page, user menu, wizard options, and demo link visibility were also adjusted. There were a few maintenance changes as well, including updates to the AI package and API structure, a switch to pnpm as the default package manager, fixes to Docker migrations, a performance fix in auth resolution, and a change to the free projects feature flag.

  2. Refined landing pages and admin views

Supaboot’s landing pages and generated app UI were updated across the week, with clearer hero copy, comparison and FAQ sections, better mobile presentation, and refreshed branding details. SEO links and metadata were also adjusted. The generator and app structure were refined with MongoDB set as the default database choice, updated auth and runtime handling, and fixes for zip generation and other inconsistencies. The admin area and dashboard charts were also improved, along with minor cleanup and documentation updates.

  3. Improve setup, local database, and analytics options

This week added local Docker support for the database and fixed related local environment issues. Build errors were also resolved, and the landing page received a set of fixes. Setup instructions were improved with a new development guide, and Google Analytics selection was added to the app bootstrap flow. The icon set was refined, and an AI package was introduced.

  4. Refined auth, payments, and project setup

This week focused on internal cleanup across the bootstrap generator. Auth fields and config were simplified, ORM and database structure were reorganized, schema and resolver files were split out, and environment handling was tightened up. The generator also switched table ids to nanoid and removed a direct URL variable. Payment provider work was adjusted across several integrations, with fixes for checkout data, missing values, post-migration logic, and double purchases. The start wizard copy, empty states, landing page, and other project UI details were also updated, along with package upgrades and a few connection and build fixes.

  5. Refactor generator and payment setup

Supaboot saw a broad internal refactor of the app bootstrap generator. The generator structure was reorganized, template layout was moved around, and package.json generation was made dynamic. Build issues and runtime errors were fixed along the way, and generated packages were adjusted to reduce import and build problems. The payments setup was also revised. The payments schema and table structure were updated for subscription entries, one-time and recurring options were removed from the UI, and environment variable handling was changed for product IDs and local development. License information was added and the payment setup instructions were updated.

  6. Bootstrap generator packages and auth updates

Supaboot’s generated app structure was reorganized this week. Authentication, API, payments, utils, and webhook code were split into clearer packages, and static content was moved into templates. Marketing pages were grouped, and the generator’s output was adjusted to remove localhost references and improve how imports and other formatting are handled. There were also a number of internal fixes and cleanup changes. MongoDB connection handling and error messages were updated, auth and email templates were refined, pre-commit hooks were added, and lint-related formatting work continued across the generator and example output.

  7. Generator refactor and pricing updates

Supaboot added separate handling for email, payments, and database generation while the main generator and web app were refactored. The week also brought GitHub repository creation, direct GitHub account integration, a setup flow update, and a move to MongoDB-backed structure in parts of the generator. The public site and docs were updated with new landing page content, a launching soon page, analytics and cookie consent, and a blog powered by a new docs site. Pricing and project creation were also adjusted to support free first projects and solo and team plans.

  8. Expanded auth, database, and payment support

Supaboot added broader support for authentication, database, and payment setup. The generated apps now include GitHub auth, password auth, database adapters, DynamoDB options, and onetime or subscription payment options, along with updates to the API and database layers that support them. The generator and its output also saw substantial internal cleanup. This week included refactors, lint and formatting fixes, a move to a monorepo structure, UI updates for the generator and generated app, and changes to project creation, setup guidance, and configuration naming.
